Carolina Hills formerly known as Holly Hill Mobile Home & RV Park was developed by Frances Laura Bell Economos.
This sharp, very independent, business lady had been a nurse, retail owner, realtor, etc., and wanted to return to her roots—a quiet place in the country.
So, she gave up city living to purchase eight acres of untouched land in the Beech Island area to pursue her new adventure, ‘Holly Hill Mobile Home & RV Park'. She was not a stranger to hard work doing whatever was necessary to develop the community. Literally, she worked relentlessly and hands-on to see her vision become reality. Her goal was not only to make this her new home; but, to create a beautiful, quiet, community for others who would also make this their home. In April 2010, we lost a one-of-a-kind Mother, aunt, grandmother…and the list goes on.
Determined not to let her endeavors fall by the wayside, her niece-Debbie Miller- and her son-Johnny Johnson- has continued her legacy. She would be proud to know that we are continuing to provide a beautiful, well-maintained, peaceful living community for our tenants. The ethics and principles that she built her business on have remained the same. Only the name has changed--Carolina Hills Mobile Home & RV Park.
There has been significant commercial and economic growth in the area since she broke ground. As a result, there are many shopping areas and restaurant choices just a short drive to downtown Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken. We are also very close to schools, churches health care facilities and businesses.
